biography
I began practicing yoga
in 1997 and there was an instant connection! Since then I have
been a dedicated student studying many different styles of
yoga. Now I am ready to embark on the journey of sharing yoga
with others. I am certified at the 200-hour level through Scott
Anderson’s Alignment Yoga
Teacher Training Program.
Teaching has been my passion
for many years. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in
Sociology, I was off to save the world, and then I began teaching
preschool! It did not take me long to realize the movements
children naturally make are similar to many yoga poses. Then
it occurred to me, our bodies want to be healthy and naturally
our body movements unfold. However, modern living pulls the
body out of our natural alignment. The outcome? All of the
aches and pains people live with on a daily basis. A regular
yoga practice can help bring the body back into its natural
alignment.

private lessons
Private yoga instruction can bring more depth
to current yoga practice or help to create a new yoga practice.
Although we commonly practice and instruct yoga in groups, yoga
is ultimately a personal practice.
There are many reasons people seek out private yoga instruction.
Whether you are unsure of group classes, want to take your practice to
another level, are working with an injury, or can not fit a group class
into your schedule, yoga privates may be right for you.
Rates: $60 per hour/ or five sessions for $275
children's yoga
Bring a certified yoga teacher to your preschool!
Years of teaching Montessori preschool have
given me an appreciation for the constant movement of children.
Combining elements of the Montessori philosophy, my own yoga
practice, and being certified through Radiant Child Yoga I have
developed a unique approach to teaching children’s yoga.
Building off of the child’s natural need to move, this
yoga class includes using the body for story telling, imitating
animals, and finding inner peace and tranquility.
There are two ways I am available to give children
the gift of yoga:
- Teaching yoga enrichment classes at preschools.
- $45 per thirty-minute class.
- As a yoga consultant for preschool in-services.
I am a certified Montessori teacher, ages 3-6,
as well as, certified to teach both children and adult yoga classes.
